I Made a Video to Help People Look Their Best on Zoom

I’ve been attending numerous round table events as well as some job-hunt groups through the Project Management Institute and the local chapter that I’m a member of, the San Francisco Bay area chapter. What I’ve seen is that many people are not aware of the easy way to make the way they look over zoom much better. This makes sense, since up until recently remote calls were on an as-needed basis and not the normal course of action.

I’ve got a lot of experience with public speaking from my time competing in DECA as a high school student, and I’ve long had a passion for photography and videography so I’m aware of a few tricks of the trade to make yourself look the best.

I had also not yet used the built in captioning tools provided in Adobe Premier, so this was a handy reason to dig into those and make a vertical style “reel” type of video with an emphasis on quick delivery, rapid edits, and digestible length.

Overall I’m very pleased with how it came out, I think that doing something like this is going to be more common for me in the future. Take a look at the video embedded below, or see it on my Linkedin page at Linkedin.com/in/crawfordryan.
